Welcome to Kyocera, where nurturing business is an artform.

Your Bonsai tree

Did you know that, rather than being a type of tree, bonsai is actually the Japanese art of growing and shaping miniature trees in containers? Bonsai has been practised in Japan for many hundreds of years with the earliest depiction in art dating back as far as the 12th century.

Bonsai is an art that requires skill, dedication, planning, and reflection, taking ordinary tree species and, through careful pruning and other methods, growing them in such a way as they resemble a fully grown tree in miniature. A bonsai tree should, of course, be small, but should also be proportional, asymmetrical, and bear no trace of the artist.

The art of bonsai embodies many of the same values as the Kyocera philosophy – our dedication to our customers, the care we take in assessing their needs and planning the ideal solutions, and our attention to detail.

Kyocera expressed as origami

In Japanese culture, different animals have different meanings, and these are sometimes manifested in good luck charms, like the famous maneki-neko, the beckoning cat. Many of these animals are also popular in the art of origami. We chose 6 origami animals that embody Kyocera’s relationship with our customers:

THE FROG - FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
In Japan, frogs are associated with the wise use of money. Many people keep representations of frogs in their wallets, to remind them not to spend recklessly. Kyocera pledge to deliver solutions that deliver excellent value and are wise investments in your business's future. We will also do all we can to minimise your costs without compromising on security, productivity or ethics.
THE DOG - SECURITY
Kyocera understand the importance of cybersecurity to businesses. Not only do our print devices feature our K-level security, tested and recognised by Keypoint Intelligence, but we can even provide managed 24/7 cybersecurity services to your business to protect every endpoint on your networks.
THE HORSE - STRENGTH
Horses are considered as noble and powerful animals in Japanese folklore. You can trust in the strength and resilience of Kyocera as service provider in the long run. This is because, as well as being a long-established business in the UK, we are supported a global corporation with over $15bn revenue in 2023.
THE CRANE - LOYALTY
Cranes are a significant animal in Japanese culture and feature often in traditional Japanese art. Cranes represent loyalty, stemming from their monogamous nature. As your business partner, we'll commit ourselves to delivering great results to your organisation - from minimising costs to maximising your security, productivity and opportunities for growth.
THE TURTLE - WISDOM
The shell of the turtle is thought in Japan to represent heaven, thus embodying the wisdom of the spirits that dwell there. With our depth and breadth of experience, delivering numerous print, IT and content solutions to customers across numerous industries, we have the wisdom required to implement truly effective services for your business, and to understand your challenges and goals so we can offer even greater value in the future.
THE KOI FISH - PERSEVERANCE
The koi represents perseverance in Japan due to the fish's tendency to swim upstream against the flow of water. In much the same way, we dedicate ourselves to our customers and aim to provide the best possible service through thick and thin. Even when times get tough, we'll stick with you and do our best to help you weather any and all challenges.

Our Services

Now that we’ve talked a bit about your bonsai tree and Kyocera’s culture & philosophy, let’s turn to the services we can offer Sainsbury’s. As a managed print, content services and IT solutions provider, we have lots to offer! But for now, let’s focus on our managed print service.

We can offer you a carbon neutral managed print service with Kyocera print devices. How do we achieve this? We already offset our operational emissions via investments in climate protection projects with MyClimate, which abide by the strictest of independent quality standards. We then work out the standard lifetime emissions of the Kyocera devices you’ll be using as part of your managed service and then offset these with MyClimate too.

In addition to these climate investments, we will monitor your paper usage as part of our managed print service. We’ll plant native trees in the UK equivalent to those used in producing the paper you’ve printed on, effectively ‘reforesting’ your paper. So on top of your carbon neutral print service, you’ll be planting trees that will provide habitat to wildlife here in the UK, as well as sequestering atmospheric carbon as they mature. We’re already reforesting our own paper usage as Kyocera Group UK, as well as the paper used by our TASKalfa Pro 15000c production print customers. You can see how many trees we’ve planted so far here.

The Kyocera devices we supply you have already been designed to minimise energy consumption, incorporate recycled and recyclable materials, and minimise the impact of our consumables, with long life image drums and recyclable toner cartridges. In addition, our managed print services will help you cut costs, both financially and environmentally, by reducing unnecessary printing.

Our carbon neutral managed print service will ensure maximum device availability by maintaining your printer and MFP fleet and keeping it stocked with consumables. We’ll also implement technologies and policies that’ll help you keep your data secure, minimise waste, monitor and control costs, and make printing a breeze for multisite & hybrid workers.

We’re also a managed service provider for content solutions and IT solutions, including cloud infrastructure, collaboration and cybersecurity. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and discuss your business’s wider needs, challenges and goals, and we’ll explore how Kyocera’s expertise and customer-first approach can help.
