Field Print Engineer – Sheffield & Doncaster

Location: Field-based covering Sheffield and Doncaster
Department: Service & Support
Reports to: Regional Service Manager


The role

We are looking for an experienced Field Print Engineer to join our Service & Support team, covering the Sheffield and Doncaster areas.

This is a field-based position, where you will visit customer sites to install, maintain and repair printers and multifunction devices (MFPs). You will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a reliable, high-quality service and that their equipment operates efficiently.

Please note: this role is specifically focused on print engineering. We are looking for candidates with experience in the printer, copier or MFP industry, rather than general IT support.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support to assigned customer accounts within agreed service levels
  • Diagnose and resolve faults on printers and multifunctional devices
  • Carry out installations, routine maintenance and upgrades
  • Log service activity accurately using internal systems
  • Identify recurring issues and support proactive improvements
  • Maintain stock of parts and equipment to support field work
  • Build strong relationships with customers, delivering excellent service at all times
  • Support colleagues across the wider service team when required
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer health and safety requirements

 

  • Proven experience as a Print Engineer / Copier Engineer / MFP Engineer
  • Strong fault-finding skills on print hardware and devices
  • Hands-on, practical approach to technical problem solving
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to work independently in a field-based role
