Microsoft Technical Specialist

This role is part of the established Kyocera technical Delivery team. This role will assist in technical pre-sales, formal scoping, design, deployment and support for Microsoft and Virtualization technologies. Due to the wide-ranging portfolio, it is assumed that the person undertaking this role would have a core understanding of key technologies and has the ability to assist with the sale and implementation of these to new and existing clients.

In conjunction with clients, account managers and technical service management assist with pre-sales, scoping and designing of client projects/service as well as end to end delivery within the chosen technology verticals. It is understood this role will keep their knowledge relevant with market trends within the chosen technologies and ensure the business is positioned to deliver opportunity. The role will form part of a wider delivery team and will require collaboration between team members and technical verticals.

Relationships are mainly client focused. This role interacts with technology leaders, suppliers, clients, internal sales teams and management.

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Customer liaison to project requirements, scope and integration with existing systems
  • Development, configuration, integration, testing, optimization, implementation and debug of bespoke customer solutions
  • Testing of software applications or hardware devices that may be deployed
  • Resolve technical issues and offer proactive technical support
  • Development of tools that may be used by others to help provision, manage or troubleshoot deployments
  • Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development
  • Working both remotely and on customer sites where appropriate to perform tasks
  • Train colleagues and/or customers on allocated technologies.
  • Improved communication and collaboration between clients and business.
  • Improved 360-client retention and service delivery.
  • Ability to delivery projects with chosen technologies.
  • Any other tasks as directed

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert – two of the four below modules required.
  • MD-100 Windows 10
  • MD-101 Managing Modern Desktops
  • MS-100 Microsoft 365 identity and Services
  • MS-101 Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst
  • 5+ years of IT experience scoping, designing and implementing chosen technology stack.
  • Experience with O365 migrations.
  • Working knowledge of Azure migrate.
  • Proficient with Windows Active directory, Group policy, DNS, DHCP, Azure AD connect.
  • MSP Consultation experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates technical depth in the chosen portfolio, technologies and businesses.
  • Ability to engage and lead design/implementation discussions with client and external parties.
