New solar power generation system to reduce CO2 emissions.

Kyocera Document Solutions Europe Management B.V., one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, is proud to announce that the solar power generation system installed at the organisation’s Vietnam Plant will be fully activated from March 29th, 2024.

The installation of this solar power generation system is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 4,210 tons per year (equivalent to planting 300,694 trees). Moreover, this renewable energy source will cover approximately 41% of the electricity used by Kyocera’s Vietnam plant.

“We are incredibly proud of this transition to clean energy at the Vietnam Plant,” says Takuya Marubayashi, President of Kyocera Document Solutions Europe Management B.V. “The solar power generation system represents our commitment to green innovation and technological progress, and it ensures we continue to stay true to the Kyocera philosophy of doing the right thing as a human being.”

Kyocera Group has established long-term environmental targets to address climate change issues, including a 46% reduction in CO2 emissions in FY2030 compared to FY2019. Kyocera Group companies are also working to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

This latest initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to simultaneously promoting economic development and environmental conservation through the introduction of renewable energy. It is also in line with Kyocera’s goal of producing environmentally friendly technology that delivers more for customers while producing less waste.

In the future, Kyocera will continue to introduce solar power generation systems at our other locations and regions, and acquire environmental value certificates, aiming to achieve 100% renewable energy at all Kyocera Document Solutions Group locations by 2030.

Kyocera employees recognise the importance of climate change countermeasures. To achieve the long-term environmental targets set by Kyocera Group, the entire team will work together to contribute to the progress and development of people and society. “Living Together with Society”, “The World,” and “Nature” will form the axis of all corporate activities and we will continue to support the sustainable development of our customers’ businesses and society.
