About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sales Administration Manager to lead our Sales Administration team within the Business Solutions and MPS division.

This is a management-level role responsible for delivering the sales administration strategy, overseeing quoting, order processing and deal management, and ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of sales support services.

You will lead and develop a team, support the wider sales function and play a key role in improving processes, systems and overall sales performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the Sales Administration team, providing coaching and mentoring to support performance
  • Communicate and deliver the team’s vision and objectives in line with the overall sales strategy
  • Oversee quoting, order processing and deal management to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure deals are correctly captured, processed and loaded within internal systems
  • Support the Group Sales Director with reporting, data and sales performance insights
  • Work closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, Finance, Credit, Service and other teams to ensure smooth processing of deals
  • Lead regular team meetings and one-to-one sessions to review performance and development
  • Support recruitment and ongoing development of the team
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers
  • Oversee customer-related issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Support supplier and distribution relationships, including ordering and stock management
  • Ensure billing accuracy and reduce errors across sales and service processes
  • Identify and deliver process improvements to support sales optimisation and productivity
  • Balance workload across the team to ensure efficiency and service levels

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce and strong MS Office skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good understanding of the end-to-end sales process from order through to invoicing
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a proactive approach

Desirable:

  • Experience managing or leading a team
  • Experience within a sales administration or back-office environment
  • Knowledge of ICT, MPS or managed services
  • Experience working with ERP systems or system implementations
  • Experience delivering process improvements or change initiatives
